Welcome to My Story Steps, a creative storytelling platform designed for children and families. My Story Steps is designed primarily for users aged 5–14. Children under 13 must sign in using a Google Family Link account or equivalent. By using My Story Steps, you confirm that:

• You are at least 5 years old.
• If you are under 13, you have permission from your parent or legal guardian to use the service.
• You will comply with all applicable laws when using My Story Steps.

2. Accounts and Authentication

We use Google Sign-In through Firebase Authentication to provide secure access to the platform. By creating an account, you agree that:

• You will provide accurate and complete information.
• You will keep your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• You will notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information.

Content Moderation

All content is filtered and moderated to the best of our ability to maintain a safe environment.

3. Acceptable Use

When using My Story Steps, you agree not to:

• Create or share content that includes hate speech, bullying, or harassment.
• Create or share content that contains violence, sexual content, or inappropriate material.
• Violate the rights of others (e.g., copyrighted content, trademarks, or personal data).
• Use the service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws.
• Attempt to access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the platform.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or networks.

We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend access to the platform if these rules are violated.

4. Content Ownership and Licensing

The stories, text, and images you create using our tools remain your intellectual property, however:

• You grant My Story Steps a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transfer, display, perform, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating and improving our services.
• We may use anonymized content to train and improve our technology and services.
• All other elements of the platform (design, code, tools) belong to My Story Steps and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

5. AI-Generated Content

Our stories and images are created using artificial intelligence. By using the service, you acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may vary and sometimes be unpredictable.
• We use filters and safety measures, but cannot guarantee all content will always be suitable.
• If you encounter inappropriate content, you should report it immediately.
• We reserve the right to modify or remove AI-generated content at our discretion.
